Model for Metis's Ottawa project, 'Micro-Urbanism: Project for the edge of Parliament Hill' constructed in September 2014, first exhibited in Aarhus, Denmark, October 2014.
From the original multi-leveled proposal two floor plans were selected to be represented in the model. The distance between these levels would be exaggerated in the model. The lower level was etched onto a Beech hardwood base and the upper level was etched onto a sheet of clear cast acrylic. The acrylic was supported by several 3D printed components representing selected features of the proposal.
